Our story

Never forget where you came from

The Firkins family has a deep passion for helping others. That passion shows in years of support for local schools, including historic Manatee High School.

In 2012, Manatee High School honored Robert Firkins with its Outstanding Alumnus Award at the Class of 2012 graduation. In his speech, he told the graduates to go do great things and reach their goals, but to never forget where they came from. He stressed giving back to the community that made you who you are.

Those ideals are still the vision of the Firkins family. Our owners and employees share a common desire to help our community wherever we can, with donations to local groups, schools and organizations.

    Owner Bob Firkins received the 2023 LECOM Leadership Award at the Bradenton Area River Regatta Gala, recognizing exceptional leadership and substantial contributions to the Bradenton community.
